BC Chapel Women’s Fellowship
The purpose of the Big Canoe Chapel Women’s Fellowship is to bring together ALL women of the Big Canoe community, to encourage Christian fellowship, to understand God’s will for our lives through Bible study and to promote activities to benefit the Chapel and our surrounding areas. You do NOT have to be a member of the Chapel to participate in Women’s Fellowship.

The Pregnancy Center
To support women who find themselves with an unplanned pregnancy or women who need support throughout their pregnancy. We also offer free and confidential counseling to women, men and families. We are a faith-based ministry and love to share the hope of the Gospel with our clients. We provide practical help and spiritual hope. We offer post abortion recovery as well.

The Joy House
We provide Christ-centered restorative care for struggling teens, families, and individuals.

Piedmont Mountainside Hospital Auxiliary
Assist Piedmont Mountainside Hospital as needed in order to make someone's visit as safe and pleasant as possible.

Pickens County Young Life
The mission of Young Life is to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. We do this by praying for young people, going where kids are and building personal relationships with them. We provide experiences that are fun, adventurous and life-changing. Our staff and volunteer leaders share their lives and the good news of Jesus Christ with adolescents.

Keep Pickens Beautiful
Keep Pickens Beautiful, formerly Citizens for a Clean Community, was started by a group of concerned citizens striving to develop a clean and beautiful environment for Pickens County.

Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center
Hospice of NGMC is committed to improving and supporting the quality of life in all we do. We have over 30 years of experience providing end of life care serving patients and families. The volunteer role is one of the most tender and significant parts of the program. Volunteering allows exceptional, caring individuals to use their gifts and skills to help our patients, families and caregivers.

Good Shepherd Recovery House
Combining individualized counseling and support groups with training in life skills teaches our residents how to successfully handle the stresses of everyday life, as well as deal with the relational and material losses they have experienced as a result of their addictions. The goal is to build a new life based on a regenerated understanding of who they are, who God is, and how they can live a healthy and joy-filled life through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Trout Unlimited - Gold Rush Chapter
Cold water stream restoration and maintenance. We bring together diverse interests to care for and recover rivers and streams, so our children can experience the joy of wild and native trout.

Georgia Mountains Hospice
The mission of Georgia Mountains Hospice is to provide the highest quality, compassionate Hospice and End of Life Care in Murray, Cherokee, Dawson, Fannin, Forsyth, Gilmer, Gordon, Union, Pickens and Bartow counties.

Georgia Forest Watch
Our mission is to enhance the health of Georgia’s 867,000 acres of National Forest by protecting our forests and streams, advocating for natural processes and identifying opportunities to improve Forest management.

Our mission is to provide quality instruction and student support that results in preparedness for college, career, and life.

Our volunteer organization works closely with the Big Canoe Public Safety Department to assist with Structure and Wildland Fires, Medical Calls, Traffic Accidents, Storm related needs, Search and Rescue, Traffic Control and many other Public Safety supported needs.

The Academy at Double H Ranch
Our mission is to provide a safe and Christ-like environment for low income, at-risk children. Our K - 12 children obtain a Christian based education, along with life skills training. Our mission is for each student to have a faith based foundation to carry them through life, along with encouraging them to attend college and/or ultimately breaking the bonds of poverty, becoming a successful citizens in our community.
